Salary: £100,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Are you a Data Architect who still enjoys getting into the technical detail?

We're working with a leading organisation embarking on a major Azure cloud transformation and are looking for a hands-on Data Architect to help shape the next generation of its data platform.

This isn't a traditional architecture role. We're looking for someone who has grown from Data Engineering or Cloud Engineering into Architecture and still enjoys solving technical challenges, designing modern data platforms and working closely with engineering teams.

If you're looking for a role where you'll influence architecture without losing touch with the technology, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll play a key role in designing and evolving a modern Azure data platform, working alongside engineering teams to deliver scalable, cloud-native solutions.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Designing end-to-end Azure data platform solutions.
  • Architecting modern ETL and data integration pipelines.
  • Designing scalable Lakehouse and Data Lake solutions.
  • Working closely with engineers to guide implementation and technical decision-making.
  • Defining cloud-native architecture patterns and best practices.
  • Collaborating with Product, Engineering and Business teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
  • Supporting the modernisation of legacy platforms into Azure.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience as a Data Architect or Solution Architect with a strong data engineering background.
  • Previous experience as a Data Engineer, Cloud Engineer or Data Platform Engineer.
  • Experience designing ETL pipelines and large-scale data integrations.
  • Strong understanding of Lakehouse and Data Lake architecture.
  • Comfortable working closely with engineering teams and remaining technically involved.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Microsoft Fabric
  • Databricks
  • PySpark, Python or SQL
  • Event-driven architectures

Why Join?

  • Major Azure cloud transformation programme.
  • Opportunity to shape a modern enterprise data platform.
  • Work with the latest Azure data technologies, including Microsoft Fabric.
  • Highly collaborative engineering culture.
  • Genuine influence over technical direction and architecture.
  • Hybrid working (2 days per week in London).
  • Competitive salary, bonus and excellent benefits.

If you're a technically minded Data Architect who enjoys designing solutions, staying close to engineering and building modern cloud data platforms, I'd love to tell you more.
