An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Logistics and Warehouse Manager with our Company. We are an established construction products distributor servicing London and the South East of England. We are a small expanding company and you will liaise with all departments enabling you to fulfil your role and help you feel part of our successful team.

Responsibilities

  • Staff supervision and leadership: manage warehouse staff and drivers, ensure training, lead by example.
  • Inventory control: manage stock movements, undertake periodic stock takes, keep accurate records.
  • Operational management: ensure smooth running of warehouse operations including receiving, storing, order picking, shipping, organising courier services.
  • Safety compliance: maintain general cleanliness and tidiness, enforce safety policies, identify improvement areas and implement efficiencies.
  • Problem solving: address operational challenges, plan daily delivery routes for drivers.
  • Technical abilities: computer literate, familiar with Microsoft products, train on in-house systems.
  • Communication: clear and confident verbal and written communication, interaction with staff, suppliers, customers.
  • Organisation: manage and prioritise multiple tasks, meet delivery targets, review costs, meet deadlines.
  • Transport management: manage fleet of vans, including maintenance, servicing, upkeep.
  • Maintain records of stock levels, delivery and transport costs.
  • Cover drivers absent due to holidays or sickness.
  • Physically demanding: fit and able to perform physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in management of teams.
  • Full UK licence and van driving experience.
  • 7.5 tonne operator licence preferable.
  • Forklift licence preferable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of FORS accreditation and ability to keep detailed records.
  • Computer literate, familiarity with Microsoft, train on in-house systems.

  • Salary: Negotiable based on experience.
  • 21 days holiday + Bank holidays.
  • Hours: 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday.
  • Uniform provided.
