Hours: 7 hours per day (35 hours per week) + 1 hour for lunch

Responsible to: Operations Director / Manager

Position Description

Reporting to the Operations Director/Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

Project Management: Overseeing the implementation of our fibre network on new build developments, including coordinating with developers and contractors, managing timelines, and materials.

  • Main point of contact for developers and associated contractors, multi-utilities to ensure smooth network deployment.
  • Working with our Surveyor to resolve on-site challenges and overseeing the installation process to meet high-quality standards.

Quality Control: Reviewing and signing off fibre network designs ensuring all routes are efficient, identifying necessary changes in equipment and materials, and planning.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that all aspects of the fibre network design and build comply with all fibre and building regulations.

Documentation: Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of network designs, project progress, and modifications.

Cost Management: Keeping the project within budget, negotiating with suppliers and contractors for the best prices and managing resources efficiently to maximise cost-effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Proven experience working in the fibre/telecoms industry, specifically in network deployment for new build developments.
  • Strong understanding of fibre network design principles
  • Experience fibre planning tools
  • Extensive experience in project managing fibre network builds, including liaising with developers, multi-utilities, and contractors.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to foresee challenges and implement proactive solutions.
  • You are an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office365 and Smartsheet for reporting, documentation and communication.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • A keen eye for detail ensuring quality and efficiency in all aspects of network deployment.

Please note that this job requires you to be in the Canary Wharf office 5-days a week. Please consider this when making your application.
