Position Description
Reporting to the Operations Director/Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Project Management: Overseeing the implementation of our fibre network on new build developments, including coordinating with developers and contractors, managing timelines, and materials.
- Main point of contact for developers and associated contractors, multi-utilities to ensure smooth network deployment.
- Working with our Surveyor to resolve on-site challenges and overseeing the installation process to meet high-quality standards.
Quality Control: Reviewing and signing off fibre network designs ensuring all routes are efficient, identifying necessary changes in equipment and materials, and planning.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that all aspects of the fibre network design and build comply with all fibre and building regulations.
Documentation: Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of network designs, project progress, and modifications.
Cost Management: Keeping the project within budget, negotiating with suppliers and contractors for the best prices and managing resources efficiently to maximise cost-effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:
- Proven experience working in the fibre/telecoms industry, specifically in network deployment for new build developments.
- Strong understanding of fibre network design principles
- Experience fibre planning tools
- Extensive experience in project managing fibre network builds, including liaising with developers, multi-utilities, and contractors.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to foresee challenges and implement proactive solutions.
- You are an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office365 and Smartsheet for reporting, documentation and communication.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- A keen eye for detail ensuring quality and efficiency in all aspects of network deployment.
Please note that this job requires you to be in the Canary Wharf office 5-days a week. Please consider this when making your application.
