Band 5/6/7 Biomedical Science Histology Locum – Stockport Position: Biomedical Science – Histology Banding: 5/6/7 Location: Stockport Hours: Core hours Rate: £28.00 – £35.00 PH The Biomedical Science team at Pulse is recruiting a Band 5/6/7 Biomedical Scientist in Histology to work in a busy lab in Stockport. We are looking for a biomedical scientist who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory’s cellular histology service. We need a suitable histology biomedical scientist who is proficient in microtomy. What will you be doing in this Biomedical Scientist role? As a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist in Histology, you will be responsible for proficiently performing microtomy, achieving high-quality sectioning at a rate of over 30 blocks per hour, as well as overseeing embedding and staining processes while ensuring adherence to established protocols. You will implement quality control measures, support senior biomedical scientists in delivering comprehensive histology services, and provide training and mentorship to junior staff.
