Pulsar Measurement is a worldwide leader in ultrasonic instrumentation for wastewater, industrial, and environmental markets. Since 1986 we have developed, manufactured, and marketed industrial flow and level monitoring instruments including ultrasonic level transmitters, clamp-on ultrasonic flow meters, and open channel flow meters. Your Role: Pulsar Measurement Production Operators kit, create, handle and maintain electronic manufacturing equipment - working on assembly lines to perform tasks like assembling products, operating machinery, building units, preparing goods for shipment, and following safety guidelines.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Record time taken on each job, noting it on the Epicor system and maintaining Epicor processes and procedures.
  • Notify the department Supervisor of any difficulties, to allow alternative methods of work to be investigated or training to be instigated.
  • Adhere to all paperwork requirements.
  • Understand and follow electronic drawings.
  • Check and identify electronic components.
  • Produce assemblies with care and attention to detail, ensuring the product is assembled correctly to the drawing or sample provided.
  • Handle product safely in line with company procedures.
  • Ensure full compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Follow anti-static procedures including the wearing of anti-static clothing provided.
  • Assist in other areas when workload dictates.

Flow Solder:

  • The efficient operation of the Flow Solder Machine.

Hand Solder:

  • Fit electronic components to Printed Circuit Boards and Solder to IPC Standards.

Board Cut-Out:

  • Responsible for all PCB Routing and cutting activities.
  • Removing any framing from PCB assemblies.
  • De-nib and file PCB’s.
  • Cut out PCB’s using the slice or routing machine.

Third Party Unit Build:

  • Responsible for all aspects of packaging, recording serial numbers and ensuring that units are placed in correct and matching serialized boxes.
  • Identify electronic components entering the building and being kitted.
  • Kit parts as required on the work ticket instructions, ensuring all are clearly marked.
  • Ensure all parts are clearly marked at all times, especially if original goods in delivery is split on issuing kits.
  • Ensuring components are stock rotated in date order to comply with company first in first out policy.

Dispatch:

  • Package product appropriately to ensure there is no risk of damage during transit.
  • Ensure relevant paperwork is included in shipments.

Travel: Limited but as required to fulfil business demands.

Your background:

  • Knowledge of electronics production and assembly.
  • Preferred experience of soldering.
  • Knowledge of Work Ticket instructions.
  • Experience working in a production environment.
