Pulsar Measurement is a worldwide leader in ultrasonic instrumentation for wastewater, industrial, and environmental markets. Since 1986 we have developed, manufactured and marketed industrial flow and level monitoring instruments including ultrasonic level transmitters, clamp-on ultrasonic flow meters, and open channel flow meters. The newly restructured TASi Measurement, our parent group, has successfully grown companies who consistently deliver world-class products and services, focusing on our global customer needs in diverse market segments.
Your Role
Responsible for achieving standards and productivity expected while working efficiently as part of a team, at our Malvern site, that builds, tests, and inspects Pulsar Measurements’ transducers and controllers.
Your Responsibilities
- Responsible for building and testing all types of Pulsar transducers.
- Responsible for assembling and testing a wide range of Pulsar controller units.
- Responsible for soldering leaded and surface-mount components to circuit boards.
- Responsible for installing firmware and software updates.
- Accountable for recording all test and inspection results in accordance with the document procedure/ERP system.
- Responsible for preparation of cables prior to being encapsulated into transducers.
- Responsible for encapsulating a range of products with two-part epoxy potting compound.
- Responsible for the inspection of products in production area and occasionally in warehouse.
- Accountable for using workshop machines such as pillar drill and power saw in a safe way and within the specified guidelines.
- Responsible for assisting with all aspects of production as necessary.
- Responsible for assisting the R&D department with the ‘productionising’ of new products.
- Responsible for ensuring work area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Responsible for assisting with cover in the warehouse as necessary.
- Accountable for adhering to all paperwork / recording requirements and ensuring completion in a timely manner and to Company quality standards.
- Accountable for the safe handling of product in line with Company procedures.
Travel limited but as required to fulfil business demands.
Your Background
- Thorough knowledge of electronics production and assembly including use of potting compound.
- Adaptable and able to prioritise workload according to the needs of production.
- Working to a work instruction sheet.
- Good basic computer skills.
- Circuit board assembly and testing.
- Ability to work alongside others as part of a team, or independently, and adapt to new situations.
- Knowledge of manual handling regulations.
