We are looking for a Group Operations Manager to drive operational excellence across our sites/departments. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to move into a pivotal group role, shaping the future and ensuring an unparalleled customer journey.
The role
As the Group Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing the entire operational landscape of our group. You\’ll ensure the seamless functioning of all departments, optimising performance, and fostering a culture that puts the customer experience at the forefront. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strategic mindset, and the ability to inspire and lead teams to achieve outstanding results.
Key responsibilities
- Leading and developing our talented management teams to ensure operational efficiency and foster future growth.
- Driving the implementation of operational strategies across all departments to maximise performance and profitability.
- Ensuring meticulous compliance with Security, Health & Safety, and governance policies and procedures.
- Overseeing budgets, managing P&L, and driving commercial performance to achieve financial targets.
- Implementing strategies to maximise customer experience and optimize operational costs.
- Cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, challenging the status quo, and embracing innovation.
- Regularly evaluating performance against KPIs and SLAs, taking proactive steps for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior managerial role within the motor trade.
- A strong preference for candidates already in a Group Operations role or an experienced General Manager within the motor trade seeking advancement.
- In-depth knowledge of all motor trade departments (sales, aftersales, parts, service etc.).
- A fundamental understanding of management accounts and their application in driving business success.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate, develop, and inspire teams.
- A track record of achieving results, meeting KPIs and SLAs, and building strong relationships.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Relevant experience is highly desirable.
- Package offered:£80,000 basic salary (£100k+ OTE)
