We are seeking a FUN, PASSIONATE & EXTROVERTED Meeting & Events Executive to join our FANTASTIC TEAM at a VIBRANT central London Hotel with 312 bedrooms and 17 meeting rooms, including the Shaw Theatre. You will assist the Meetings & Events department in achieving maximum revenue and strengthening client relationships through effective sales techniques and strategies, while providing excellent customer service at all times. In this role, you will help plan and execute meetings, events, and conferences for up to 446 guests, from start to finish. You will work closely with clients, agents, and team members to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of all event aspects. This position requires a proven track record in event management.
Responsibilities include:
- Responding to enquiries from agents/clients professionally and within specified timeframes.
- Practicing efficient yield management according to guidelines.
- Promoting special offers to maximize sales opportunities.
- Preparing contracts and ensuring maximum conversion of business.
- Chasing all business and following departmental guidelines.
- Conducting show-rounds for existing bookings and new clients.
- Providing clients with detailed event orders in advance.
- Greeting clients upon arrival and maintaining presence throughout events.
- Resolving disputes and complaints professionally and within guidelines.
- Adhering to accounting procedures, including obtaining prepayments, reconciling accounts, and sending final invoices within 48 hours of departure.
- Maintaining market awareness through competitor inspections.
- Achieving individual weekly targets.
