Are you a HGV Technician/Mechanic looking for a new exciting role in a growing and expanding business? We are looking for a HGV Technician to join our team in Maltby. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy goods vehicles and trailers.

Overtime available: £27.60ph and Sunday £36.80ph

Hours of work: Monday to Friday – 06:00am – 14:30pm alternate late shift 14.00pm – 22.30pm & Friday – 12.00pm – 20.00pm

Responsibilities:

  • Service, inspection, maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers
  • Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation
  • Overhaul electrical equipment and components
  • Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment
  • Welding and metal working
  • Department of Transport (MOT) testing preparation
  • Parts ordering and stores management
  • Support team members including Apprentice Technicians as required
  • Accurately record time and detail of completed jobs
  • Carry out inspection and repair of workshop equipment as directed

Qualifications:

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent or proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role in vehicle maintenance.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
