Are you a HGV Technician/Mechanic looking for a new exciting role in a growing and expanding business? We are looking for a HGV Technician to join our team at our new site in Aylesford. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy goods vehicles and trailers for Tesco.
Hours of work: 4 on 4 off 6pm-6am
Responsibilities:
- Service, inspection, maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers
- Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation
- Overhaul electrical equipment and components
- Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment
- Welding and metal working
- Department of Transport (MOT) testing preparation
- Parts ordering and stores management
- Support team members including Apprentice Technicians as required
- Accurately record time and detail of completed jobs
- Carry out inspection and repair of workshop equipment as directed
Qualifications:
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent or proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role in vehicle maintenance.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
