Are you a HGV Technician/Mechanic looking for a new exciting role in a growing and expanding business? We are looking for a HGV Technician to join our team in Goole. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy goods vehicles and trailers for Tesco.
Working Hours: 4o4o days 6am – 6pm – £38,747 and overtime £27.77
Responsibilities:
- Service, inspection, maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers
- Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation
- Overhaul electrical equipment and components
- Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment
- Welding and metal working
- Department of Transport (MOT) testing preparation
- Parts ordering and stores management
- Support team members including Apprentice Technicians as required
- Accurately record time and detail of completed jobs
- Carry out inspection and repair of workshop equipment as directed
Qualifications:
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent or proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role in vehicle maintenance.
- Diagnostics skills/qualifications – desirable
- A valid Class 1 licence – desirable
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
