Job Overview

Are you a HGV Technician/Mechanic looking for a new exciting role in a growing and expanding business? We are looking for a HGV/Trailer Technician to join our team in Coventry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of trailers for DHL. OTE £50,000+ (OTE based on total average earnings of Technicians in the garage over a 3 month period) PLUS A JOINING BONUS OF 2K!

Shift: 4O4O 6am – 6pm

Overtime available paid at £28.58

Responsibilities

  • Service, inspection, maintenance and repair of trailers
  • Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation
  • Overhaul electrical equipment and components
  • Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment
  • Welding and metal working
  • Department of Transport (MOT) testing preparation
  • Parts ordering and stores management
  • Support team members including Apprentice Technicians as required
  • Accurately record time and detail of completed jobs
  • Carry out inspection and repair of workshop equipment as directed

Qualifications

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent or proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role in vehicle maintenance.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Diagnostics skills/qualifications – desirable
  • A valid Class 1 licence – desirable
