The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Salary: Day shift (6am-6pm, 4 on 4 off) £39,715 basic, OTE £44,000. Night shift (6pm-6am, 4 on 4 off) £45,130 basic, OTE £52,500. Overtime paid at 1.5x.

Location: Rawcliffe Road, Goole, DN14 8GA

Working pattern: 4 on 4 off, day or night shift available. 12-hour shifts.

We offer a full range of fleet solutions including servicing, repairs, compliance management, and emergency support - keeping vehicles on the road and businesses moving.

We are looking for an HGV Technician to join our team in Goole, carrying out maintenance and repair of heavy goods vehicles and trailers on a dedicated Tesco contract. We're happy to provide upskilling to those candidates who demonstrate a good level of transferable experience.

What you'll be doing:

  • Servicing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing trucks and trailers
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic faults
  • Overhauling electrical equipment and components
  • Setting and operating machine tools and equipment
  • Welding and metalwork
  • Preparing vehicles for Department of Transport (MOT) testing
  • Parts ordering and stores management
  • Supporting team members including apprentice technicians
  • Accurately recording time and job details
  • Carrying out inspection and repair of workshop equipment as directed

What you'll bring:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent, or proven experience in a similar HGV technician role
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Diagnostics skills or qualifications desirable
  • A valid Class 1 licence desirable
