A-Level & GCSE Teachers for Marking & Moderation

Pulc.Ai is a feedback tool for teachers which gives target, specific and actionable feedback. The project seeks to show that responsible AI can play a positive role in education equality. Launched in March, it is now used by over 3000 students and 1000 teachers in Ireland.

Pulc is now seeking essay markers for GCSE and A-Level. This would involve between 2 and 5 days work over August, with the potential for future work as an educational consultant throughout the year.

Payment: £150-200/day, depending on work and experience. This is a freelance position, self employed, contract for services engagement.

The main purpose of the role is to correct and give feedback on students\’ essays, which we can then use to improve our platform.

We are currently seeking correctors in the following subjects:

A-Level:

– Psychology

– French

– Spanish

– English Literature, B

– English Literature, A.

GCSE:

– English Language

– Spanish

– French

– German

We will be seeking teachers in all other subjects shortly, including sciences, so if you would be interested in correcting your own subjects, please get in touch: workwithus@pulc.ai

Our priority is AQA, but we are open to those with experience with other exam boards.

Criteria:

– ideally 3 years\’ experience teaching your relevant subject.

– experience correcting mock or real examinations is desirable.

The position is entirely remote as the correction process will take place through our website. The contractors can set their own hours, use their own equipment, work for other clients and are not line-managed.

Applicants must be UK based and able to work on a self employed basis in the UK. Work is offered on an as and when basis with no minimum guarantee.
