The Advanced Bakery Operator is a multi-skilled Operator supporting the Process Leader in the daily running of the line/process to ensure the achievement of the production plan. They will work directly on the line/process, as well as carrying out additional tasks to ensure that KPIs are met and efficiency of both the equipment and team are maximised.
Tasks:
- Undertake routine line/process tasks as directed by the Process Leader
- Take responsibility for completing line compliance checks relating to H&S, Quality and GMP
- Monitor adherence of the team on the line to processes and policies (Safety first & Quality always) coaching the team to resolve any issues or escalating if necessary
- Assist the Process Leader with the hour-by-hour supervision of production line/process
- Usage of line performance data system to monitor and action any potential issues that may impact the achievement of KPI’s
- Ensure materials are accurately controlled using ERP system
- Support and take part in training and upskilling of line team as and when required
- Take action to solve issues relating to line performance, including equipment issues
- Provide ad-hoc temporary cover in the absence of Process Leader
Skills:
- Hands-on experience in process/line operations
- Capable of supporting and supervising teams when required within a production setting
- Able to carry out fault finding and support in identifying solutions to meet KPI’s and service targets
- Competent in using workplace computer systems and software
- Knowledge of food safety, production processes, and quality standards
- Good planning and organising skills
