Pukka Pads is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality stationery items, specialising in notebooks. We design fun and functional items to help you make the most of your everyday! We are looking for a highly motivated and driven Creative Designer to join our team on-site in Branksome, Poole, on a full-time basis. If you’d like the opportunity to see your own designs and creations in major grocery and retail stores in the UK, Europe and USA, then this may be the job for you!

The ideal candidate:

  • Enthusiastic about keeping up with the latest trends and enjoy exploring new concepts and ideas.
  • Passionate about our brand and the stationery market.
  • Qualified to Degree level or have 5 years of comparable experience.
  • In depth knowledge and experience of the Adobe packages, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, as well as Adobe creative suites.
  • MAC literate.
  • Good (verbal and written) communication skills with an ability to build and maintain business relationships.
  • Good sketching and concept generation skills.
  • Creative flair to prompt discussion and be thought provoking.
  • The ability to oversee external Junior designers to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
  • Passionate about following the latest trends; colours, patterns and lifestyle.
  • Interest in Fashion.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Interest in Photography and Website Design.
  • A dependable team player with strong integrity, a sense of urgency and accountability.
  • A good level of presentation skills for internal stakeholders.

What will I be responsible for?

Joining our team as a Creative Designer you will work collaboratively with the Product Director on the development of new products, bringing new and exciting designs and concepts into conversation through research of the latest lifestyle trends. You will work in a team of two, alongside our Technical Designer, to design and create graphics to meet specific commercial or promotional needs. The Creative Designer will also be responsible for overseeing two external Junior designers remotely, providing support and guidance where necessary to encourage their growth, and ensure deadlines are met.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in our head offices in Branksome. Monday-Friday 8:50am to 5:00pm.
