Senior Product Line Manager – Christchurch, Dorset

We are looking for a Senior Product Line Manager to join our Christchurch, Dorset team.

This role is responsible for product ownership of the flight recorder product line within the Customer Facing team, liaising with customers and internal engineering and manufacturing teams.

The Senior Product Line Manager contributes to strategic product planning, marketing, and technology roadmaps.

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers, sales, commercial, engineering and manufacturing departments to specify and design system solutions that address customer requirements and enhance existing product(s) or product line(s).
  • Develop strategies to deliver product line growth to meet company expectations.
  • Research solutions to customer requirements that may originate from within Curtiss‑Wright, from partners, third‑parties or be developed internally.
  • Collaborate with the bids & proposals manager to create winning submissions.
  • Lead consensus building (with engineering and sales) on technology roadmaps and prioritise future R&D investments.
  • Assess needs and opportunities for new products through research and feasibility analysis.
  • Lead commercialization efforts and manage existing product lines, including market positioning, competitive analysis, forecasting, product positioning and pricing strategy.
  • Develop goals, budgets and strategic business plans for the product line.
  • Recommend ways to expand sales and profitability in specific markets.
  • Provide sales staff with training, comparative product analysis, feature and benefit summaries, promotional materials, target customers and product marketing strategies.
  • Work with Technical Publications, Engineering and marketing to ensure high‑quality production of product technical literature.
  • Represent the company within industry working groups to define future recorder requirements (potential).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent related work experience.
  • Familiarity with high‑performance embedded system design and standards in defence/aerospace.
  • Appreciation of aircraft avionics systems is beneficial.
  • Ability to travel, both domestic and international.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office.
  • Master’s Degree desirable.
