The Senior Digital Design Manager will be working within the Global Creative Image team and alongside the Digital team to create best-in-class digital designs from concept to production ensuring consistency across the board. This includes overseeing all website designs, emails, and paid marketing, as well as designing and creating ad hoc briefs such as animations and large-scale digital screens for stores, airports, and pop-ups.
The Senior Digital Design Manager will be responsible for managing one midweight digital designer, overseeing and managing the delivery of all weekly briefs and decks, as well as maintaining the evergreen pages and emails. Working closely with the Digital UX/UI team, the Senior Digital Design Manager will oversee the continuing development of the brand's new website, which launched in 2024, ensuring all designs and pages are developed and built to the highest quality and best practice.
Reporting to the Head of Creative Image and liaising directly with the Brand Director to ensure the brand message is clear and consistent from store to online. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
What you’ll get to do:
- Work on both original conceptual designs and interpreting predetermined creative direction from a larger offline campaign and adapting it for online use.
- Manage one Mid-weight Designer on the production of digital artwork including website, emails, digital displays, and paid social advertising.
- Deliver impactful animated content, GIFs, and motion graphics that elevate campaign storytelling.
- Design and deliver large scale animations for use across digital screens in-store and across markets.
- Conceptualise and design microsites and immersive digital experiences.
- Communicate ideas and concepts clearly and concisely in brainstorming sessions and presentations.
- Liaise with the Digital team to understand the performance of digital assets and paid marketing assets to ensure best practice across platforms.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the creative process.
- Seek to understand the customers across different markets and produce digital assets which both convey the brand in the best way and are highly effective at engaging target audiences online.
- Liaise with the Head of Creative Image on upcoming projects and how to bring them to life across all digital platforms.
- Keep up to date with the latest technology/updates to ensure all digital templates adhere to best practice for each platform.
We’d love to meet you if you have:
- A strong design portfolio demonstrating a wide range of digital design, including websites, emails, social media and animated content, across multiple customer touchpoints, ideally within the Luxury or Beauty industries.
- Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience.
- Experience managing junior designers and liaising with agencies and freelancers.
- Strong After Effects skills, with experience creating animated GIFs and video content for luxury brands; video editing skills are highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of online accessibility and UX/UI principles.
- Experience designing and creating working prototypes in Figma.
- Ability to pitch concepts using sketches, wireframes and mock-ups.
- Strong design sensibility with a keen eye for layout and interactive experiences.
- Knowledge of HTML, HTML5, CSS and JSON is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Expert use of Photoshop (Mac-based); retouching skills are advantageous.
