We are looking for an inspiring and imaginative Video Editor to join the Brand, Creative & Social team, reporting to the Video Lead. You will edit raw footage into professional-quality videos for social media (YT, TikTok, IG), paid social ads, in-store screens and more. You will lend your expertise of video storytelling for all long form and short form videos as requested by global markets, producing high quality and impactful video content optimised for the intended viewing platform.
The ideal video editor will thrive in fast-paced environments, respond quickly to reactive social media needs, stay on top of current trends across platforms, and bring energy and enthusiasm to creatively implement them.
What you\’ll get to do
- Create fun, interesting and engaging video content, relevant to our followers.
- Ensure that content is aligned with the Dr. Sturm brand aesthetic and identity.
- Keep your pulse on the latest social media trends (especially TikTok) and propose ideas on how we can edit content for these platforms.
- Partner closely with the Head of social media and Paid Media to align video content with brand objectives. Evolve creative based on performance metrics provided by channels.
- Incorporate motion graphics, animations and special effects into video projects using After Effects.
- Ensure all videos adhere to technical and creative standards.
- Complete post-production for projects including grading, sound, encoding in different formats.
- Optimise videos for different advertising channels.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet tight deadlines.
- Organise, archive and label video assets for easy accessibility.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions with creative ideas for video content and campaign storytelling.
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximise efficiency.
We\’d love to meet you if you have
- Experience creating native social content for YT, TikTok, IG.
- Experience editing in-app for TikTok and/or Capcut.
- Ability to craft footage to be used in integrated storytelling across multiple digital channels.
- Experience working with both UGC-style content shot on phones and highly produced content.
- Heavy consumer of online content and aware of the online digital creator space.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Experience animating/motion graphics within After Effects.
- Working knowledge of the entire Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to self-quality control all assets.
- Understanding of various camera formats and how to work with raw footage.
- Experience of the online process and ability to collaborate with external sound mixing and colour grading studios.
- Flexible, pro-active, and highly organised.
- Able to deal with changing deadlines and priorities.
- Demonstrable experience with managing time and delivering projects to deadlines.
- Understanding of working with mixed codecs and frame sizes is required.
- Effective archiving of rushes and content to ensure media is accessible to the wider business.
