Shift Pattern: Flexible shifts worked over 7 days (Sunday–Monday), including occasional late night

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Assistant Manager to support the day‑to‑day running of our restaurant, alongside our retail food hall and gifting department. This is a varied and exciting role combining hospitality and retail, ideal for someone who enjoys working across different areas, leading teams, and creating an outstanding customer experience throughout the business. You will work closely with the Manager to ensure all areas operate smoothly, maintain high presentation standards, and deliver excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the daily operations of the Garden Kitchen restaurant, food hall, and gifting areas
  • Lead, motivate, and support team members across both hospitality and retail
  • Ensure consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, merchandising, and cleanliness
  • Assist with staff rotas, training, and performance management
  • Monitor stock levels and support ordering across all departments
  • Maintain attractive and seasonal product displays in the food hall and gifting areas
  • Deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues efficiently
  • Drive sales and support commercial targets across all areas
  • Step up to lead shifts and oversee operations in the Manager’s absence
