As our EPOS Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our electronic point of sale (EPOS) systems, supporting colleagues with technical queries, maintaining accurate pricing and product records, and assisting with stock control processes. Pughs Garden Village is seeking a proactive and detail-focused EPOS Administrator to support our retail and restaurant operations across our Radyr, Wenvoe Garden Villages, and Rogerstone, and Abergavenny Garden Kitchens.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update product listings, descriptions, barcodes, and pricing within the EPOS system.
  • Set up and monitor seasonal promotions and pricing updates.
  • Set up and monitor Category / supplier performance reports Weekly, Monthly & YTD.
  • Liaise with Pugh's buyers and suppliers to ensure accurate product data is created and maintained.
  • Support till operations and troubleshoot till, scanner, and EPOS-related issues.
  • Generate and distribute price barcode labels.
  • Monitor and investigate stock discrepancies.
  • Assist with stock takes and inventory audits using the EPOS system.
  • Train and support retail colleagues in till operation and EPOS procedures.
  • Work closely with the IT and EPOS providers to resolve technical issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support front-of-house activities when required.
  • Travel between Radyr, Wenvoe, and other Pugh's business locations as required.

Qualifications

  • Experience using EPOS systems within a retail environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables & Formulas) and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays to support planned projects (new store launch, events).
  • A full UK driving licence and ability to travel between business locations.
  • Garden centre or horticultural retail experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
