Role Overview

We're seeking a systems-obsessed data infrastructure leader to architect the analytics foundation that powers strategic decisions across our high-growth D2C business. This role is for builders who get more excited about preventing data disasters than presenting insights.

You'll take the helm of our e-commerce data operations, leading a team that ensures data reliability drives confident decision-making. Working closely with our Forbes Council Member CEO and cross-functional teams, you'll establish the gold standard for analytics operations while enabling data-driven growth in a competitive global market.

What Is In It For You:

  • Build Systems That Matter, Not Presentations That Don't: Most analytics leaders spend their days making slides and telling stories. You'll spend yours architecting infrastructure that handles $24M+ in annual ad spend with zero tolerance for errors. You'll implement automated validation systems, data observability frameworks, and monitoring that catches bugs before humans see them. You'll solve data quality problems once, systematically, and watch your systems scale internationally.
  • Partner with the 1%: Gain firsthand exposure to strategic decisions and high-velocity execution that drives a global brand.
  • Embrace Radical Flexibility: Work from anywhere in the US. Design your peak performance environment. We measure output and impact, not hours logged.
  • Own the Technical Stack That Prevents Fires, Not Fights Them: You've fought data disasters. Here, you'll build the systems that prevent them.

What You'll Own:

  • Data Quality Infrastructure (Your #1 Priority): Audit existing tracking setup (GA4, GTM, Shopify, Klaviyo, ad platforms) and fix every configuration error. Build automated validation systems that catch bugs before humans see them. Implement pre-leadership QA processes with hard gates. Create monitoring and alerting.
  • Technical Architecture & Reliability: Design and maintain server-side tracking implementation for attribution accuracy. Architect data pipelines that handle $2M+ monthly ad spend tracking without errors.
  • Operational Excellence: Build the QA checklist. Implement data observability. Create runbooks.
  • Team Leadership & Process: Manage existing Analytics Manager + 2 Data Specialists. Train team on proper setup procedures and validation protocols.
  • Strategic Projects (Once Quality is Bulletproof): Drive server-side tracking migration for cookie-less future. Implement advanced attribution models for multi-channel $24M+ annual ad spend.

What You'll Need:

  • Must-Have Technical Chops: 7+ years in digital analytics with proven track record of owning data quality in high-stakes B2C environments.
  • The Operational Mindset: You're a builder, not a presenter.
  • Leadership & Communication: Proven team leadership.

Red Flags (Don't Apply If This Is You):

  • You want to focus on strategic insights and executive storytelling.
  • You prefer analysis over building systems.

Good-to-Have:

  • You've done this before.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with data observability tools.
  • Background in analytics engineering or data reliability engineering.

The Puffy DNA:

  • We're restless, perpetually hungry, and fast-paced.
  • Be the Owner: We don't hire employees; we welcome owners.
  • Execute with Urgency: We thrive in high-stakes environments.
  • Demand Excellence: We solve the hard problems that others can't.
  • Be AI-First: Daily multi-turn AI conversations challenge your assumptions.
  • Go All-In: When the mission demands it, we rally as one team to cross the finish line.

Your Total Compensation & Benefits:

  • Compensation: Monthly performance bonuses (up to 25%).
  • Health & Protection: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Time Off: Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) + Public holidays.
  • Work Environment: AI First organization with access to AI-native tool stack.
  • Remote First: Work from the comfort of your home office.
  • Learning & development opportunities.
  • International team collaboration (14+ nationalities).
