Puffin Produce is Wales's leading fresh produce supplier, known for its commitment to resilient farming systems and supply chain sustainability. Founded in Pembrokeshire as a farming co-operative, Puffin has deep roots in the surrounding farming community, Welsh landscape, and beyond.
Sustainability is central to how Puffin operates. As a business, we champion innovation and environmental excellence from field to fork. Data is central to measuring and monitoring how action can influence impact. Therefore, we are looking to expand our Sustainability team to support greater data transparency and analysis to enable rapid and strategic progression towards our environmental targets. This role will enhance data insights to support day-to-day operations alongside long-term strategic investment plans to support ongoing decarbonisation and innovation.
Puffin Produce Ltd is the largest supplier of Welsh produce in Wales, supplying a wide variety of potatoes and seasonal vegetables to multiple major retailers and wholesalers. We pride ourselves on giving our farmers a fair deal, always remaining true to our collective roots, meaning that when we do well, they do well. We also take our corporate and social responsibilities seriously and are continuously looking for new ways to support the environment, biodiversity and the local community. We are innovative and are continually investing in new technologies and our people to make us an employer of choice within a fast-paced sector.
Emission reduction is central to our business ethos, setting SBTi targets in 2021 to reduce our Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions by at least 90% by 2040, alongside a 46% reduction in operational emissions by 2030, a target we are ambitious to meet and exceed. Our environmental performance is shaped by more than just carbon emissions; we believe in providing our customers with produce from resilient, nature-rich and sustainable farms in a supply chain that safeguards our landscapes and communities.
