The Resource Manager will play a central role in ensuring that our internal teams are effectively planned, scheduled and utilised across all client projects – this may include creative, development and strategy roles. You'll be confident operating independently, capable of building strong relationships across departments, and comfortable balancing immediate delivery priorities with longer‑term resource planning. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across Production, Client Services and Department Leads, becoming a key part of a growing resource management function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced agency environment and is keen to contribute to the continued growth and operational success of the business.
As a Resource Manager at Brandwidth, you will:
- Resource Planning & Scheduling
- Manage day‑to‑day resource allocation across internal teams, including creative, strategy, UX and development.
- Maintain visibility of active and upcoming projects to ensure resource plans are accurate, realistic and aligned to priorities.
- Ensure the right people are assigned to projects based on skills, experience, availability and project requirements.
- Work closely with Client Services, Production and Department Leads to forecast upcoming workload and identify capacity challenges in advance.
- Support senior stakeholders with longer‑term workforce planning by identifying trends, capability gaps and future hiring or freelance needs.
- Manage freelancer scheduling and support onboarding where required.
- Help maintain a balanced and sustainable workload across teams while supporting project profitability and delivery quality.
- Workflow & Operational Management
- Manage and maintain the agency resource schedule and workflow processes.
- Lead regular resource and workflow meetings with department leads and project stakeholders.
- Work proactively with teams to manage shifting priorities, changing scopes and urgent client requirements.
- Monitor workflow efficiency and identify opportunities to improve processes, collaboration and utilisation across teams.
- Reinforce best practices around briefing, scheduling, estimation and ways of working.
- Escalate potential risks around timing, capacity, delivery or team pressures before they impact projects.
- Partner closely with Production and Project Management teams to ensure smooth delivery across all disciplines.
- Reporting & Commercial Awareness
- Provide visibility on team utilisation, capacity, project allocation and resource forecasting.
- Help identify over‑servicing, inefficiencies or delivery risks that may impact profitability or timelines.
- Support ongoing improvements to resource planning processes.
- Maintain accurate visibility of freelance usage and support budget tracking where required.
- Communicate upcoming capacity opportunities and pressure points to the wider business.
- Team Collaboration & Growth
- Build strong working relationships across all departments and levels of the business.
- Support and collaborate with the Senior Resource and Delivery Lead, Head of Production and Resource Coordinator to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.
- Promote a positive, solutions‑focused and collaborative approach to resource management.
You will bring:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a Resource Manager or Traffic Manager role within a digital, creative or marketing agency environment.
- Experience using project/resource management tools such as Monday.com, Float, Resource Guru, Asana or similar platforms.
- An understanding of agency workflows across creative, strategy and development teams.
- Experience managing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with close attention to detail.
- Awareness of utilisation, capacity planning and project profitability.
- Confidence working independently and making informed decisions.
- A calm, solutions‑focused approach under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative yet decisive style.
- A proactive mindset focused on improving processes and problem‑solving.
- The ability to contribute to a transparent, accountable and supportive team environment.
