Edinburgh University Press are looking for a Key Account Manager – Americas to join the sales team.
Reporting into the Head of Sales, you will be a proactive, solution-driven sales professional, motivated to achieve targets and driven to succeed. You will be customer-focused, developing core conversations with institutional libraries and able to build long-lasting, trusted relationships in Edinburgh University Press’ largest market. This will involve keeping up-to-date with industry knowledge and working flexibly to accommodate American time-zones so opportunities are maximised. You will need to understand and communicate the mission of the Press at all times and further develop EUP’s profile in the Americas.
You will be able to task manage the sales support team and collaborate with the Senior Marketing Manager – Libraries to build your sales strategy. Cross-departmental communication will be important – particularly with the Marketing, Editorial, Finance and Production teams in order to meet business objectives.
You will need to accommodate tight deadlines, be able to work calmly under pressure and remain focussed when the market dictates any change to objectives or strategy. You will have a positive outlook with an eagerness to learn and develop.
Most importantly, you will have an excellent team ethic and will be keen to work closely with a fun, professional and supportive Sales team to motivate each other, share ideas and contribute to future business sustainability.
Salary: £35,000–£40,000
Contract: Full time, permanent
Location: UK (Edinburgh office or remote working considered)
Holiday: 40 days a year (including bank holidays)
Hours: 35 (flexible working pattern required to accommodate American time-zone)
