About the role
Creative Scotland are looking for an experienced Digital Communications Officer to support the promotion of the work of Creative Scotland and those they fund. You will be joining an energetic and dedicated team, who are passionate about delivering engaging content across Creative Scotland’s websites, social media channels, and newsletters, that is effective and audience focused. You will manage channels and create digital content for Creative Scotland, raising the profile of its work, and advocating for the value and impact of the culture sector in Scotland, including video production and extensive social media curation. You will also actively monitor Creative Scotland’s channels for comments/DMs, providing timely and informative responses. You will be fundamental in supporting wider communications work – ensuring all key news, developments and announcements are communicated effectively online, and all content is accurate, up to date and compliant.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a digital communications environment, experience of web content management systems, relevant design/video software and social media platforms, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail. Project management skills and an ability to prioritise workloads in a busy environment are essential, as are strong interpersonal skills and team working, the ability to develop and establish collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders and a commitment to Creative Scotland’s core values. An understanding of the culture sector would be advantageous.
