Join Publisher Collective!

Publisher Collective is a strategic advertising partner, meaning we connect website publishers with advertisers who want to reach their audiences. Instead of publishers having to find advertisers on their own, we handle the technology, demand, optimisation, and relationships - making it easy for publishers to earn revenue while ensuring advertisers reach real, engaged communities.

The role

We have two exceptional opportunities for an ambitious person to sell advertising, digital media and digital multimedia to brands and agencies. This role is dedicated to growing revenue within the Publisher Collective commercial team across various categories including Internet services and Internet security, Consumer Hardware, Financial services/investments and Holidays/Travel.

This role involves charting growth from the existing Agency client base and developing new business relationships. This is achieved by building relationships with media planning and buying teams, generating briefs/RFPs, understanding Agency client opportunities, and determining the relevant transaction type.

Responsibilities include managing and organising commercial partnerships with both relevant agency partners and direct clients that have in-house media buying teams. This involves leading the process of partnership conversion and delivery with innovative and relevant strategies.

You will require both excellent communication and presentation skills both internally and externally to increase the visibility of Publisher Collective as an ad network with collective intelligence and performance without compromise.

Responsibilities

  • Present and sell Publisher Collective audiences to new and existing Agency advertising buyers/planners/marketers and in-house client media buying teams
  • Lead sales overviews and pitch updates via in-person meetings and presentations
  • Organise teams internally to respond to briefs/RFP’s and develop pitch decks
  • Fully immerse yourself in the UK digital media market, keeping your finger on the pulse and developing new business opportunities for our supply
  • Constantly seek new commercial opportunities and partnerships, striving to generate a strong pipeline of revenue for the team and business
  • Demonstrate strategic and critical thinking based on Agency and Brand activity, for example analysing which current Agencies and Brands are similar, and nuances that are unique and can differentiate to convert briefs/RFPs
  • Daily maintenance of reporting/CRM tools to update sales management on account activity
  • Provide revenue forecasting projection reports on a weekly basis

Skills, knowledge, behaviours and experience

  • Based in the Greater London Area
  • A digital advertising industry professional, with substantive and demonstrable media sales experience or media strategy working at a Publisher, Ad Network, Agency or Ad Tech company in a commercial role
  • Experienced working on digital display/video campaigns, programmatic transaction, and custom/native branded content
  • Relevant contacts with UK/EU media Agency teams
  • Comprehensive knowledge of paid media and the digital media ecosystem
  • Experienced delivering an individual quarterly and annual revenue target
  • Able to work independently and in integrated departmental teams
  • Able to think and plan strategically; have strong negotiation skills
  • Speaks clearly and is comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proficient in using Reporting/CRM systems as well as G-Suite, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations
  • Must have a good working level of English, to C1 level on the European framework of languages
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK (we do not hold a sponsorship licence)
