Langland's Medical Strategy & Education team is hiring for a Medical Writer to create well‑crafted, scientifically rigorous and strategically sound content, working with guidance from senior writers to deliver work that is accurate, insightful and meaningful. You’ll take pride in producing high‑quality deliverables that meet both scientific standards and client objectives.
You’ll build strong, trusted relationships with clients, actively engaging in discussions around content and contributing thoughtfully to project direction. You’ll be confident working within agreed processes, keeping projects on track and ensuring the wider team is kept up to date on progress and status. Collaboration is at the heart of how we work. You’ll partner closely with colleagues to Think Further — exploring new ideas, fresh approaches and better ways of working for our clients and our internal teams.

Responsibilities- Has a thorough understanding of assigned therapy areas and proactively remains up to date with emerging trends and advances in the field.
- Creates scientific and creative content within timelines and budget, ensuring the high quality, scientific accuracy, creativity and integrity of own work.
- Understands the commercial environment within which clients are working and keeps the wider team proactively informed of developments.
- Undertakes fact and reference checking of others’ work to ensure accuracy and validity of content. Interacts directly with clients as needed on content developed.
- Has a good understanding of relevant codes of practice and ensures all content is compliant.
- Provides research and content support for pitch development and other new business initiatives as needed.
- Can understand and communicate complex science (you should hold a bachelor’s degree in the life sciences and ideally a master’s degree or PhD).
- Able to develop strong relationships – based on exceptional verbal, as well as written, communication abilities – and comfortable providing advice and guidance to others.
- 1+ years of medical writing experience within a medical communications agency or an in‑house pharma med comms team, demonstrating:
- The ability to craft standard communications to high editorial and scientific standards with supervision.
- Experience in researching, understanding and communicating around at least one therapy area.
- Good team communication, time management and work prioritization.
