Overview

Publicis Re:Sources UK are seeking an experienced Audio & Visual Technician to provide a professional, on-site AV support service across multiple conference rooms and event spaces within the Publicis Groupe London offices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality audio and visual support services to meet day-to-day business needs, including internal and external client pitches, live events, and online broadcasts.

This role requires the ability to remain calm, focused, and effective in high-pressure environments, while ensuring all AV technology operates seamlessly.

You will be part of a small, collaborative team, but must also be confident working independently. A strong interest in modern, blue-chip AV technologies and a proactive approach to researching and implementing new solutions is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a dedicated, professional AV support service to stakeholders and clients at all levels of the business.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues under pressure while maintaining a calm, customer-focused approach.
  • Install, setup, configure, and operate AV and VC equipment, systems, and software, including:
    • Display screens
    • Vision switchers
    • Video conferencing systems – Cisco & Poly/HP
    • Live event streaming
    • Audio, PA, and wireless systems
    • Digital signage
  • Scheduling and coordinating daily technical checks of conference rooms to ensure that all equipment is fully functional.
  • Perform additional technical checks ahead of client meetings and pitches, ensuring compatibility with in-house video conferencing systems.
  • Maintain and carry out minor repairs on AV equipment.
  • Escalate critical equipment issues to third-party vendors and manage incidents in line with agreed SLAs.
  • Support advanced AV activities, including:
    • Video conferencing configuration
    • Audio and video recording/capture
    • Video editing and digital encoding
  • Manage AV booking requests through onsite booking systems and meeting room calendars.
  • Respond to meeting room and event bookings, ensuring all required equipment is available and operational.
  • Schedule and support online meetings, acting as a Live Support Assistant when required.
  • Provide basic filmography support, including setup of cameras, audio, and lighting.
  • Digitally encode video content to the correct specifications for various social media platforms.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and genuine passion for Audio & Visual technology, including:
    • Display screens
    • Video conferencing and live event streaming
    • Vision switchers
    • Audio mixers and PA systems
    • Control systems – Crestron, Q-Sys & Kramer
  • Extensive experience using Windows PC and macOS.
  • Proficiency with the following software and platforms:
    • Microsoft Office 365 (including PowerPoint)
    • Keynote and Google Slides
    • Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Media Encoder, Photoshop)
    • Video conferencing platforms: MS Teams, Zoom, BlueJeans, WebEx, Google Meet
  • Strong understanding of digital file formats, screen resolutions, bitrates, and encoding standards.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Creative problem-solver with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across departments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • Calm, focused, and professional approach at all times, particularly under pressure.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, in-office position, Monday to Friday, with working hours from 8am to 5pm. The role will involve working at the TVC, Chancery Lane, and Turnmills offices. Our main office is at the iconic Television Centre (TVC) in White City, London, and the role will also involve travel to our other offices in London.
