Overview

The Platform Configuration Engineer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the configuration of our entire tech stack in Global Production, which includes key tools such as Workfront, Encodify, Smartsheets, ProConnect (Middleware), and Power BI. This individual will play a key role in supporting client onboarding processes, configuring demos for sales and marketing, managing release communications, and providing SME-level support across all tools. This role will require strong technical knowledge of these platforms, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external vendor resources to ensure the smooth delivery of configured solutions. The successful candidate will also be instrumental in documenting all configuration changes, processes, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee configuration activities across the full suite of products within the global production environment (Workfront, Encodify, Smartsheets, ProConnect, Power BI).
• Ensure seamless integration, performance, and maintenance of all tools, including handling updates, patches, and enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess configuration requirements and implement improvements.
• Lead the configuration process for new client onboarding, ensuring all client-specific configurations are correctly implemented.
• Manage the collection and ingestion of master data to ensure accurate system setup and seamless client transitions.
• Coordinate and communicate with clients during the configuration process to ensure all needs are met.
• Manage the configuration of release communications, including setting up and distributing change logs and release notes for stakeholders.
• Oversee the configuration of system releases, ensuring all updates are integrated and tested in alignment with client expectations.
• Lead the configuration and setup of product demos for use by sales and marketing teams.
• Ensure that demos accurately represent the functionality of the product and are tailored to specific client needs or use cases.
• Document all changes and processes delivered, maintaining detailed records of configuration updates and best practices.
• Establish and maintain configuration guidelines and documentation to ensure consistency and support cross-team knowledge transfer.
• Proactively contribute to process improvement initiatives and suggest tools or workflows to enhance productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a technical or product configuration role within a SaaS environment.
• Strong experience with Workfront, Encodify, Smartsheet’s, ProConnect (Middleware), Power BI, or similar beneficial tools.
• Previous experience managing client onboarding and data ingestion processes.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and sprint management.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and collaborate with external vendors.
• In-depth technical knowledge of product configuration, integrations, and system administration.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on solutions and process optimization.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document and track changes effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, building strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
