We are seeking an experienced and strategically minded Production Planner to play a key role in shaping and delivering end‑to‑end campaign production for Mars Pet Nutrition Europe, working closely with Global and Regional Orchestration agency teams, as well as Groupe agency partners. The Production Planner is instrumental in ensuring that production for each campaign is efficient, effective, and designed to minimise unnecessary new origination at market level. From the outset, they help define the right production approach, balancing creative ambition with scalability, reuse, and commercial efficiency.
Acting as a client partner for Brand teams, the Production Planner provides informed production guidance to client stakeholders, helping them make smart decisions around origination, asset design, and campaign roll‑out. They work alongside Integrated Production Architects, Operations teams, and Integrated Producers to ensure production thinking is embedded early and executed consistently. They are supported by Project Managers responsible for the delivery of localization projects.
Responsibilities
- Production Planners are accountable for the successful completion of each regionally assigned project.
- Be the client’s subject matter expert, assisting with any queries and advising how best to ensure production requests are delivered in the most efficient manner and to the highest quality based on the model KPIs.
- Work directly with production teams for seamless delivery of regional market production requirements and expectations of project objectives, timelines and budgets while contributing to the KPI performance.
- Work in close partnership with Global teams, Integrated Production Architects and Operations to align campaign production strategy and delivery across markets.
- Support and oversee a pool of Project Managers delivering lower‑funnel and adaptation work, setting clear direction and standards while retaining senior oversight of complex production activity.
- Influence production design and origination decisions, identifying opportunities to reduce duplication, maximise reuse, and improve efficiency across markets.
- Act as account lead for the production process: facilitate production financials led by the production lead (producer) – including accurate estimating, billing and reconciling jobs, requesting POs, creating third‑party POs, notifying clients of any additional charges/overages prior to producing work.
- You are financially minded, preparing and managing budgets for multi‑market campaigns and managing demand pipelines.
- Maintain accountability for budgets, timelines, and quality, working closely with Producers to manage estimates, financials, and governance.
- Identify any process gaps and solution for efficiencies throughout the production workflow and elevate issues as needed to regional client lead.
- Oversee QC and ingest into streamline, ensuring all output meets client requirements, has been through QC, and is client‑approved before final release to media.
- Have deep understanding of our KPIs and be responsible for ensuring the KPIs are met.
- Oversee day‑to‑day project management, conduct performance reviews, and ensure the team is engaged and motivated.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of experience in a Production, Account Service, or Project Management environment within a marketing/advertising agency.
- Creative agency and client management experience.
- Able to handle challenging situations and act appropriately.
- Familiar with all broadcast software and programs (Adobe, Microsoft, Google).
- Strong collaborative interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience working in complex environments and navigating multi‑level partners.
- Committed to high‑quality output and service, with an eye for detail.
- Resourceful and solutions‑oriented.
- Pro‑active.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Confident in verbal and written communications with the ability to add valuable input at face‑to‑face meetings with clients (onsite or offsite), as well as assisting with hosting clients who attend our offices in person to oversee the execution of any briefs.
