In this Senior Data Scientist role at CJ, you will serve as a senior operational analytics resource supporting internal and client-facing reporting, analytics, and data requests across the business. This role focuses on executional analytics, Jira queue management, scalable reporting solutions, AI-enabled workflows, and operational excellence within a fast-paced digital advertising environment.
You will work across multiple stakeholders and business functions to support ad hoc analysis, reporting requests, data investigations, and e-commerce and digital advertising measurement initiatives, including performance analysis and incrementality-focused requests, while leveraging AI tools and coding agents to improve workflow efficiency, delivery quality, and operational scale.
What you will do:
- Lead operational analytics support across Jira workflows, ad hoc reporting requests, internal stakeholder asks, and client support needs.
- Help manage team bandwidth, queue prioritization, ticket intake, and work allocation while ensuring requests are clearly scoped and actionable.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for analysts by providing guidance on troubleshooting, reporting logic, delivery standards, AI-enabled workflows, and best practices.
- Analyze e-commerce and digital advertising data to support reporting, campaign analysis, operational insights, measurement initiatives, and client-facing requests.
- Partner with account teams, analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver timely and accurate data solutions.
- Identify recurring request trends and develop scalable reporting and AI-assisted operational solutions while ensuring strong data quality, validation, monitoring, and operational consistency across workflows.
- Build and maintain Tableau dashboards and reporting solutions while utilizing Spark, Databricks, and AI coding agents to support analysis, investigate data issues, and improve workflow efficiency.
What we look for:
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, marketing science, business intelligence, or a related field.
- Strong experience with Tableau and large-scale data environments such as Spark or Databricks.
- Experience utilizing AI coding agents and AI-enabled workflows to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and analytics delivery.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce, digital advertising, and performance marketing principles, including affiliate and partner-based ecosystems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Experience guiding or mentoring analysts and driving operational consistency across a team.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly insights.
Preferred:
- Experience with Python, PySpark, or Scala.
- Experience training, tuning, or optimizing AI agents and workflows for analytics, reporting, or client-facing use cases.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level reporting or analytics environments.
- Familiarity with digital advertising measurement methodologies, incrementality analysis, and reporting frameworks.
- Experience working in cross-functional global team environments and improving operational workflows or analytics governance standards.
- Familiarity with marketing analytics and measurement methodologies, including marketing mix modeling (MMM), attribution, and campaign performance frameworks.
