We are seeking a culturally fluent, strategically rigorous Influencer Strategy Director to join our global influencer leadership team. This role is central to elevating the quality, effectiveness and strategic impact of social and influencer work across our agencies globally. Sitting at the intersection of social, influence, culture and connected media, this role acts as a strategic guardian and subject matter expert – shaping creator-led strategies that drive relevance, differentiation and measurable ROI for clients.
What you'll do:
- Lead best-in-class social and influencer strategy, ensuring alignment with broader brand and communications frameworks.
- Act as the strategic guardian between brand strategy, creative ambition and influencer execution.
- Elevate the quality of social and influencer work across agencies globally, setting clear standards for excellence.
- Partner with markets to upskill strategic capability and challenge outputs to be braver, sharper and culturally relevant.
- Operate as a deep subject matter expert in creators, living and breathing the creator economy across platforms and formats.
- Shape influencer strategies within a connected media ecosystem, articulating how creator activity drives ROI and business impact.
- Stay ahead of cultural, platform and behavioural shifts to future-proof influencer and social strategies.
- Lead on influencer strategy within Groupe new business pitches, shaping compelling social and creator-led growth narratives.
- Act as a trusted senior advisor to clients on cultural positioning, social behaviour and influencer effectiveness.
- Contribute to internal and external thought leadership, helping position Publicis Media as a leader in influence and culture.
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in influencer marketing, social strategy or cultural consultancy within an agency or brand environment with over 10+ years of experience.
- Ability to work in highly matrixed organization and successful in managing teams with indirect influence.
- Deep understanding of internet culture, creators, Gen Z behaviours and emerging subcultures along with an understanding of global social and influencer ecosystems and platform dynamics.
- Strategic and creative thinker, able to turn cultural insight into measurable brand impact.
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills, with senior-level client credibility.
- Comfortable navigating fast-moving environments and evolving cultural landscapes.
- Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
