Company description
About Profitero+: Profitero+ is the leading digital commerce company, trusted by more than 4,000 brands worldwide. We help brands break down silos and turn data into decisive action through intelligence-driven, end-to-end solutions that unify media, content, operations and strategy. Powered by advanced AI, robust digital shelf analytics across 1,400+ retailers in 70 countries and unmatched expertise from digital commerce specialists in 15 global hubs, our integrated solutions help brands accelerate profitable growth.
Location: Hybrid role based in Winnersh Triangle, Reading, UK.
Overview: Profitero+ is looking to hire a Commercial Analytics Manager to support our custom analytics offering across our portfolio of clients. In this client-facing role, you will lead the scoping, delivery and ongoing success of custom analytics solutions. You will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to uncover the right business questions, shape effective solutions and support them through delivery. You will also monitor performance, resolve complex issues and improve how we deliver dashboards, bespoke analytics and reporting. The ideal candidate would have experience as a project manager, data analytics and have worked in consulting.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Clients and Stakeholders: Coordinate input from clients, Account Management and other stakeholders during scoping to ensure requirements are captured accurately and completely. Understand our analytics capabilities and offering well enough to represent them credibly in sales, renewal and expansion conversations, looping in Analytics subject matter experts for deep technical or data engineering questions. Lead discovery and scoping discussions for custom analytics opportunities. Support proposals, RFPs and client presentations by clearly articulating the value of Profitero+ capabilities. Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to support successful outcomes. Surface recurring client requests, common themes and emerging trends from sales and delivery conversations, acting as a trusted advisor to the Analytics lead on solution design and innovation priorities. Proactively manage client and internal expectations, communicating trade-offs clearly and pushing back diplomatically on scope creep or unrealistic asks. Act as the primary point of contact for Account Managers on delivery challenges and maintenance-related issues (bugs, change requests) for live engagements, identifying and de-escalating problems before they become client escalations. Act as the day-to-day bridge between Account Management and Analytics, translating business requirements into technical requirements and progress updates back into business language.
- Scope Opportunities and Manage Risk: Help clients define business questions and objectives translating them into clear, structured requirements to inform Statements of Work (SOWs). Draft SOWs and commercial proposals for the Analytics lead's review and sign-off. Define project scope, deliverables, assumptions and timelines. Partner with Analytics lead on technical effort estimation to translate it into project pricing. Ensure proposed solutions are achievable, scalable and aligned with delivery capability. Identify and address commercial, operational and delivery risks before work begins.
- Coordinate Solution Delivery: Own the project plan and timeline for each engagement, tracking milestones, dependencies and risks across a portfolio of concurrent projects (typically 2–6 months each). Own project setup and maintenance in Asana (or equivalent) for confirmed engagements, keeping timelines and status current. Check in regularly with analysts on task-level status, chasing updates and flagging slippage early. Ensure a smooth transition from solution design through to delivery. Maintain quality and consistency across custom analytics engagements. Continuously improve processes, standards and the overall client experience.
Qualifications
- Proven project or programme management experience, coordinating multiple concurrent projects from kickoff through delivery.
- Excellent organisational skills, with strong attention to timelines, dependencies and deliverables across a portfolio of work.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - able to manage competing stakeholder expectations, push back constructively, and defuse tension when issues arise.
- Comfortable acting as a translator between commercial/business teams and technical teams, in both directions.
- Experience working directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
- A commercial mindset, with the ability to balance client value, delivery feasibility and business objectives.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to bring structure and clarity to complex or ambiguous business challenges.
- Experience working in agile project delivery tools (Jira, Asana, or similar).
In addition, the following will be an advantage:
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum certification or equivalent practical project management experience.
- Experience in insights, consulting, client success, category management or a similar client-facing role.
- Familiarity with dashboards, KPIs or reporting concepts (no hands-on build expected).
- Experience supporting sales processes, RFPs or commercial proposal development.
- Familiarity with retailer, category and digital shelf performance metrics.
- Experience within consumer goods, retail, eCommerce, digital shelf or market intelligence environments.
Additional information
The above lists are not exhaustive, and the job holder is required to undertake such duties as may reasonably be requested within the scope of the post.
