Overview
The Commercial Strategy Analyst reports to the Associate Director and coordinates commercial information across global markets for high‑profile clients. The role serves as the main point of contact for commercial queries on New Business pitches and existing client engagements, requiring strong teamwork, proactivity, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Act as first point of contact for all day‑to‑day commercial matters (clarifications, market queries, etc.).
- Own, develop and maintain a commercial reporting timeline across the fiscal year.
- Prepare reports for ad hoc, monthly, bi‑annual, and annual client meetings.
- Partner with Finance to review reports and resolve outstanding issues.
- Oversee contract development with Client Directors, ensuring relevant details are captured, costed, and flagged.
- Support the Commercial Lead on new business pitches by managing all commercial pitch data.
- Coordinate pitch data with internal departments including new business, I&A and client teams.
- Build relationships with internal teams globally to ensure effective communication of all relevant information across pitches and commercial strategy.
Qualifications
- Strong data management and Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables). VBA is a plus.
- High accuracy with the ability to spot and correct errors before sharing.
- Strong time management, able to deliver under tight deadlines.
- Ability to analyse data from multiple sources and present analysis.
- Builds strong relationships and acts with clients in mind.
- Any experience in a business development, sales or finance team is a bonus.
