You will build and enhance client-facing dashboards, develop the data processes that support them, and work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to translate business questions into clear technical requirements and effective solutions. This is a hands‑on role combining advanced SQL, data modelling, dashboard development and client collaboration. You will take ownership of high-quality analytical delivery, identify opportunities to improve our products and ways of working, and support the development of junior team members. You will also help the team apply emerging AI and machine-learning technologies responsibly, ensuring outputs are accurate, robust and ready for use in production. This is an excellent opportunity to make a visible impact within a fast-paced, global SaaS company at the forefront of digital commerce.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain and enhance dashboards in Sigma, ensuring they are accurate, intuitive and aligned with client and business requirements.
- Design and maintain ETL processes for a range of client data, optimising back-end data structures to ensure dashboards are reliable and performant. This will primarily involve Snowflake SQL, alongside a working knowledge of Python and experience with dbt workflows.
- Use Git and GitHub to manage version control across analytics code and data transformation projects, following collaborative development practices such as branching, pull requests, code reviews and clear documentation.
- Adhere to team processes and delivery standards, including using Jira to manage work and record time accurately.
- Partner directly with clients and internal stakeholders to gather and clarify technical requirements, translate business questions into analytical solutions, and recommend the most effective approach.
- Mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance, constructive feedback and support with problem‑solving.
- Develop deep expertise in Profitero+’s industry, technology, products and data offerings, with a strong understanding of how related technologies address customers’ business challenges.
- Research and help develop new product and analytical offerings in response to client needs, market developments and emerging technologies, including AI- and machine-learning-based solutions.
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in an analytics role.
- Advanced SQL skills, with experience working in a modern cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake or GBQ and using a data transformation and modelling tool such as dbt.
- The ability to review code written by others and identify logic or data-quality issues before they reach production dashboards, and have sufficient SQL and Python expertise to read, debug and extend existing scripts.
- Hands‑on experience building dashboards and analytical solutions in BI platforms such as Sigma, Looker, Power BI or similar.
- Practical, day‑to‑day experience using AI‑assisted coding and analysis tools, such as Claude Code, Cortex or Coco.
- Write clear specifications for AI agents and critically review their outputs for accuracy, quality and suitability before release.
- A proven ability to translate client requirements into clear product scopes and communicate complex technical concepts confidently to non‑technical audiences.
In addition, the following will be an advantage:
- Experience applying advanced analytics or data science techniques, such as predictive modelling, regression analysis or natural language processing.
- Experience using work‑management or product‑development software, with Jira preferred.
- Experience in direct‑to‑consumer analytics.
