Overview

As an Account Director, you will oversee one of Sky\’s priority business units – TV, Connectivity, or Content – playing a key role in shaping digital media strategy. You will act as the primary client contact, ensuring smooth day-to-day account management and execution of multi-channel media strategies across Paid Search, Paid Social, and Programmatic. Your role will involve working with senior stakeholders to develop and implement effective digital plans while ensuring high-quality campaign delivery and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on digital media planning and performance.
  • Manage and coordinate budgets across paid digital media channels.
  • Oversee campaign execution, ensuring strategic alignment and operational excellence across Paid Search, Paid Social, and Programmatic.
  • Work closely with channel specialists to refine and implement innovative media strategies.
  • Ensure high levels of accuracy in campaign activation, optimization, and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for testing and innovation in the digital space and collaborate with teams to execute initiatives.
  • Support senior leadership in key client meetings, business reviews, and strategic planning.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on industry trends to improve client outcomes.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members to enhance performance and career development.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in digital media planning or account management, ideally at an Account Director level.
  • Strong background in performance marketing across Paid Search, Paid Social, and Programmatic.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills with the ability to navigate multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
  • Experience managing large, complex accounts with multiple priorities.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to campaign management and team collaboration.

Must Have:

  • Extensive prior experience in a digital focused planning role, with proven experience in project management and strong digital performance knowledge across Paid Search, Programmatic & Paid Social.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to engage with multiple client contacts & internal team members.
  • Well versed in receiving and responding to client briefs with clear KPIs and digital media strategies.
  • Ability to build relationships with 3rd parties and work collaboratively with all stakeholders.
  • Operational experience working on large complex accounts with numerous products, stakeholders, goals and priorities.
  • A critical thinker in your day-to-day and able to operate independently to solve challenges and navigate novel situations. Be solution driven, innovative and proactive with how you manage planning & operational processes.
  • Be strategic and commercially minded in planning goals for your teams, as well as being able to shape and develop paid media strategy with client\’s business goals in mind.
