As a result, we have an exceptionally energised and committed talent base, all of us proud of our welcoming and supportive culture, as evidenced by our recognition as one of Campaign's Best Places to Work for five years in a row, Media Week's Agency of the Year 2025 and one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025.
If you're ready to move beyond activation and step into true strategic ownership, this is a rare opportunity to join the Commerce UK team as the Amazon & Retail Eventing Lead on L'Oréal. This role puts you at the centre of L'Oréal's most commercially critical moments, e.g. Prime Day, Black Friday, Cyber Week and flagship retail events, with the mandate, visibility and backing to shape best-in-class Amazon strategy across 40+ brands.
Responsibilities
- Own Amazon end-to-end. You'll be the senior strategic lead for Amazon across DSP, Search, Prime and AMC - setting direction, making investment decisions and defining best practice, not pushing buttons.
- Lead the biggest retail moments that matter. You'll own 10-12 major retail events a year, including Prime Day and Black Friday, with dedicated activation teams in place to execute your vision.
- Operate at full-funnel, full-media scale. This is a true full-funnel role; from upper-funnel channels like YouTube, OOH and social through to retail media performance.
- Step into senior-level influence. You'll work directly with director-level stakeholders on both the client and agency side, bringing teams together.
- Make your mark on a newly in-housed function. This capability was previously outsourced to Amazon. Now it's in-house, and you'll help shape how it's embedded, governed and scaled within Commerce UK.
- Be visible, trusted and impactful. You'll own monthly reporting, QBRs and strategic recommendations, with a platform to influence how L'Oréal shows up in retail media in the UK.
Qualifications
- Strong Amazon expertise across DSP and Search, with hands-on experience earlier in your career.
- Proven leadership on large-scale retail events (e.g. Prime Day, Black Friday).
- Full-funnel media experience, including upper-funnel channels.
- Confidence leading senior stakeholders and aligning multiple teams.
- Likely currently an Associate Director or Senior AD in a retail media or commerce role, ready for a bigger scope and ownership.
This is a role for someone who wants to think bigger and shape strategy within a Commerce team that's building something meaningful around one of the world's most influential brands.
