We are actively seeking a Business Director to lead the Disney Experiences pillar. In this role, you will oversee a team of planning experts, leading them towards the objective of executing the most distinctive, efficient, and impactful paid media campaigns for one of the globe's most iconic experience brands. Disney Experiences is the business segment that turns Disney’s stories into tangible, world-class realities. As the global leader in immersive travel and consumer products, this segment manages a massive ecosystem that includes Disney Parks & Resorts, Cruise Lines and Consumer Products.

As Business Director, you will sit at the heart of one of the world’s most sophisticated marketing engines. You will lead the strategic media vision for the Disney Experiences portfolio, translating high-level business goals—such as increasing park attendance, driving cruise bookings, or launching global merchandise campaigns—into integrated, data-driven media strategies. This role is predominantly UK focussed, with a small remit in the area of multi market coordination, activation and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Build Strong Client Relationships & An Enhanced Service — Serve as a trusted advisor to key senior clients; discuss account challenges impartially with senior clients and translate into action; pinpoint the crux of each client request and provide succinct and targeted value; provide exemplary client service while setting the standard for others; challenge the client to adopt new perspectives, assisting them in gaining a competitive edge; apply structure and rigor to all client meetings and engagements; inject an energetic & positive Can Do attitude into all client engagements; diplomatically diffuse escalated situations and provide targeted support; assist in transforming client’s business/marketing objectives into effective media strategies; develop a superior planning product for Disney that satisfies their business needs; conduct final quality checks on all planning and strategy responses; fortify key vendor relationships for Disney's benefit.
  • Ensure An Efficient & Effective Account — Oversee & proactively manage the Experiences Scopes of Work, adjust according to client’s requirements; ensure financial accuracy in forecasting, value management, and billings; maintain optimal staffing levels below Business Director, and recruit top talent as needed; identify and rectify inefficient processes, thinking or procedures quickly; cross-sell or up-sell agency services; break down a complex workflow into a clear timeline/workload map void of pressure points; infuse positivity and vitality into an account; unearth and capitalise on growth opportunities; forge close connections between each of Disney’s Line of Business teams to unlock benefit; drive strong cohesion between Publicis Imagine Investment & Planning teams; summarise account status in a succinct manner up to Publicis Imagine leadership; convey direction succinctly.
  • Illustrate Strong Knowledge & Passion — Articulate the current UK Media Landscape, challenges or opportunities facing the travel/theme park industry, and Disney Experiences current position in market vs key competitors; assist any planning or strategy level below Business Director with any task; display genuine passion for the media and travel/theme park industries; consult on Digital and Non-Digital matters; demonstrate a strong understanding of the wider capabilities of Publicis; exemplify best-in-class representation for both Publicis Imagine and Publicis Groupe.
  • Manage a Team — Manage a team of 5 Planners; foster a culture of proactivity, results, and innovation within the team and wider Publicis Imagine; offer robust support to team members with their career-related inquiries; identify and cultivate high-performing talents; create and supervise development plans for direct reports; ensure immaculate client service is delivered at all levels across the team; push the team to think outside of the box and challenge the status quo; maintain an organized and composed demeanour through busy periods.
