Global Measurement Director

Responsible for leading the operationalisation of the Measurement & Learning framework for a global FMCG account.

The role translates the client’s measurement transformation agenda into practical, scalable ways of working across global, regional, and local teams, ensuring that KPI frameworks, test‑and‑learn programmes, reporting outputs, modelling solutions, and optimisation routines are embedded into processes and used to improve business outcomes.

This is a hands‑on measurement leadership role requiring strong stakeholder orchestration, measurement fluency, and the ability to connect strategy with execution.

The Measurement Director will partner with client stakeholders, Publicis capability teams, data science, reporting, commerce, strategy and insights, media, and regional teams.

They will align priorities, clarify ownership, and simplify measurement frameworks.

They will also accelerate the delivery of measurable learning across Paid, Earned, Shared and Owned media, commerce, growth audiences, campaign reporting, post‑campaign analysis, and advanced measurement programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the client and Publicis leadership to translate business priorities into actionable measurement plans, learning agendas, KPI definitions, test designs, and reporting requirements.
  • Own the measurement roadmap, including milestones, stakeholders, dependencies, risks, and governance required to operationalise measurement.
  • Drive alignment across client stakeholders and Publicis teams on ownership of measurement topics, including growth audiences, global test‑and‑learn, connected commerce measurement, reporting, PCA evolution, and the broader application of advanced measurement approaches.
  • Ensure wider integrated efforts across Strategic Planning, Account Management, and Investment teams to ensure a consistent voice and point‑of‑view is being facilitated to clients, partners, and consumers.
  • Champion practical test‑and‑learn culture focused on business outcomes, consistency of approach, and the reapplication of learnings across markets, brands, and regions.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to clarify measurement scope, priority use cases, KPI definitions, data inputs, decision rights, and activation requirements.
  • Lead the day‑to‑day operationalisation of measurement, converting strategic frameworks into actionable delivery plans, meeting cadences, stakeholder maps, and clear workstream ownership.
  • Coordinate with global, regional, and local teams to ensure early consultation, clear handoffs, and practical adoption of measurement requirements before campaigns, planning cycles, and QBRs.
  • Support the evolution of post‑campaign analysis from static reporting into a forward‑looking optimisation input that connects media, commerce, Strategy and Insights, creative, and business outcome learnings.
  • Work with data science and marketing science specialists to identify fit‑for‑purpose measurement and modelling solutions, including MMM, incrementality, attribution, market testing, outcome modelling, and other approaches that help inform future planning and investment decisions.
  • Assess data availability and readiness across markets, including sales, media, commerce, audience, CRM, social, and campaign performance data, and translate constraints into pragmatic measurement recommendations.
  • Act as a senior day‑to‑day measurement point of contact for stakeholders, coordinating across clients, Publicis measurement leadership, capability leads, and regional teams.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder maps, governance routines, and milestone trackers so that decisions, dependencies, and ownership are visible and actively managed.
  • Coach and guide analysts, project managers, and cross‑functional partners, helping teams prioritise high‑value measurement outputs over reactive firefighting.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in marketing measurement, media analytics, marketing science, or data‑led transformation, ideally within a global agency, CPG, retail, commerce, or client‑side marketing organisation.
  • Proven experience managing complex, senior stakeholder relationships and delivering measurement programmes across global, regional, and local markets.
  • Strong practical knowledge of marketing measurement approaches, including KPI frameworks, learning agendas, test‑and‑learn design, MMM, attribution, incrementality, PCA, reporting, and optimisation.
  • Fluency in how MMMs are designed, interpreted, and used in practice, including understanding inputs, assumptions, limitations, response curves, scenario planning, and how model outputs should inform budget allocation, channel strategy, and optimisation decisions.
  • Working familiarity with BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Datorama, Excel, SQL, Python, R, or similar platforms; coding expertise helpful but not required for success in this leadership role.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities, with the confidence to impose structure on ambiguous, fast‑moving transformation workstreams.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence across cross‑functional teams, including measurement, media, commerce, Strategy and Insights, reporting, data science, project management, and client stakeholders.
