Overview
ABOUT THE ROLE
MSLGroup is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated FP&A to join our London team. In this role, you'll support the Commercial Director; working closely with key stakeholders across MSL and collaborate with other finance teams within the wider Publicis Groupe. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in finance who's looking to develop their commercial accounting skills further. You'll gain valuable experience in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and commercial analysis, while contributing to the smooth running of financial processes.
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
You will be looking to develop your accounting and analytical skills. You will have good attention to detail, a strong understanding of accounting principles and be a confident Excel user. Also enjoy working with people and playing an important role in a team. Furthermore, you will be interested in developing your accounting, analytical skills and commercial skills. You will have some experience of working in an organisation in a similar role and be ready to take your next step and build your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare annual budgets (full P&L) and ensure timely upload to Hyperion
- Manage monthly reforecasts and upload to Hyperion
- Lead weekly revenue rolling forecasts and collaborate with team leads
- Produce staff utilisation and timesheet analysis reports
- Generate client profitability and servicing level reports
- Maintain and update budget trackers (e.g., marketing, recruitment)
- Support capacity planning and analysis
- Partner with client teams on retainer accounts and ad-hoc commercial reviews
- Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews and payroll reporting
- Own and manage internal audit processes (SOD Matrix, System Access Review, etc.)
- Contribute to quarterly Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reporting
- Regularly update rate cards and ensure accurate system uploads
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required
Personal Qualities and Skills
- You're studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA or CIMA)
- You will ideally have some experience in a FP&A role, preferably in a creative or agency environment
- You're confident using Excel with experience of managing large data files and complex formulas (comfortable with functions like VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.)
- You're curious, willing to learn, and keen to grow in a supportive team
- Experience with finance systems like Hyperion or SAP would be ideal, but not required
