This is an excellent opportunity for someone stepping into their first Management Accountant role. We’re looking for a Management Accountant who’s curious, commercially minded, and excited by the fast pace of agency life. You’ll be supported as you learn, but play a key role in shaping how we understand performance across the business, getting close to the numbers, partnering with teams across the agency, and helping drive smarter, sharper financial decisions. If you enjoy variety, ownership, and work that genuinely influences how an agency runs, this role offers exactly that.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the order-to-cash cycle to ensure all client work is contracted, invoiced, and collected promptly, supported by core finance processes and monthly reviews.
  • Support cash management activity, including allocations, loan requests, currency exposure reviews, hedging contract requests, and V-card allocations.
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and present clear, insightful variance analysis to senior finance leaders.
  • Use our agency planning system to manage freelance resource effectively and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Prepare monthly accruals and prepayments and meet with budget owners to review non-client expenditure, including freelance cost management.
  • Contribute to the annual business planning process and rolling forecasts, helping to shape accurate and aligned departmental cost budgets.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and present findings clearly to finance leadership.

Qualifications

  • You will be a part qualified accountant, either with ACCA, ACA or CIMA and looking to build upon your commercial experience in a fun and ambiguous marketing agency.
  • You will have experience of project accounting, preferably in a marketing agency (but not essential).
  • You will be looking to broaden your commercial experience, alongside delivering best practice finance rigour.
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and prioritise certain tasks over others.

Benefits

  • WORK YOUR WORLD opportunity to work anywhere in the world, where there is a Publicis office, for up to 6 weeks a year.
  • REFLECTION DAYS - Two additional days of paid leave to step away from your usual day-to-day work and create time to focus on your well-being and self-care.
  • HELP@HAND BENEFITS 24/7 helpline to support you on a personal and professional level. Access to remote GPs, mental health support and CBT. Wellbeing content and lifestyle coaching.
  • FAMILY FRIENDLY POLICIES We provide 26 weeks of full pay for the following family milestones: Maternity, Adoption, Surrogacy and Shared Parental Leave.
  • HYBRID WORKING, BANK HOLIDAY SWAP & BIRTHDAY DAY OFF You are entitled to an additional day off for your birthday.
  • AGENCY DISCOUNTS, onsite gym, and discount in our Publicis-Owned Pub – “The Pregnant Man”.

Publicis Groupe operates a hybrid working pattern with full time employees being office-based four days during the working week.

Equal Opportunity

We are supportive of all candidates and are committed to providing a fair assessment process. If you have any circumstances (such as neurodiversity, physical or mental impairments or a medical condition) that may affect your assessment, please inform your Talent Acquisition Partner. We will discuss possible adjustments to ensure fairness. Rest assured, disclosing this information will not impact your treatment in our process.
