Publicis Alchemy is an innovation engine at the heart of one of Publicis Media’s largest global pharmaceutical partnerships. Our mission is to transform the way media connects with people and ultimately helps make life better for patients around the world.
We are seeking an exceptional Ad Operations Manager to lead trafficking, governance and technical execution of digital campaigns for the ex-US global business. This role sits at the centre of a highly collaborative global ecosystem, working closely with the London-based ex-US account team, US-based Publicis Alchemy colleagues, and more than 30 local markets worldwide.
This role ensures that all digital activation — particularly across social and programmatic — is delivered with precision, compliance, and operational excellence. The Ad Operations Manager partners closely with the Biddable Operations Director, Biddable Hub Lead, TAAG, analytics, and market teams to ensure seamless campaign implementation, accurate data capture, and consistent adoption of operational standards.
This role requires deep ad tech expertise, strong operational discipline, and the ability to manage and develop junior specialists while collaborating across multiple markets and functions. It is a critical role in maintaining the technical backbone of the client’s digital activation ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Ad Operations Excellence: Lead the trafficking, QA, and technical implementation of digital campaigns using Google Campaign Manager 360 (CM360) and other relevant ad serving platforms. Ensure all campaigns are delivered accurately, on time, and in full compliance with operational standards, naming conventions, and governance frameworks. Oversee troubleshooting and issue resolution across creative, tracking, trafficking, and delivery workflows. Proactively identify potential campaign or creative issues and implement solutions to minimise disruption. Maintain rigorous documentation and ensure all campaign setups meet audit ready standards.
- Technical Leadership & Ad Tech Governance: Demonstrate expert knowledge of Google Marketing Platform (CM360, DV360, SA360) and ensure best practice usage across the hub. Support the implementation and governance of tagging, tracking, verification, and measurement solutions in partnership with TAAG and analytics teams. Stay ahead of platform updates, industry changes, and emerging technologies, sharing knowledge with the wider team.
- Operational Management & Process Improvement: Support the Biddable Operations Director in developing and optimising workflows, processes, and operational frameworks across onshore and offshore teams. Identify opportunities for automation, tooling enhancements, and operational innovation to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Ensure consistent adoption of operational tools (AuditPro, CapSure, GrowthOS modules, Power BI dashboards, and other platforms). Collaborate with cross functional teams to streamline delivery and ensure alignment across markets.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the day-to-day ad operations contact for internal teams, providing technical guidance and operational expertise. Partner with planning, creative, analytics, and market teams to ensure seamless campaign delivery and alignment with strategic objectives. Communicate technical requirements clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Participate in operational reviews, cross market meetings, and hub wide alignment sessions. Manage and mentor Ad Ops Executives, ensuring workload is prioritised effectively and deliverables meet the highest standards. Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development to build technical expertise across the team.
Qualifications:
- Experience in ad operations or digital trafficking roles.
- Experience with additional ad servers (Sizmek, Flashtalking, Adform).
- Knowledge of conversion tagging, rich media, and Google Marketing Platform tools.
- Familiarity with verification vendors (IAS, DoubleVerify, MOAT).
- Strong experience in ad operations and ad serving platforms, particularly Google Campaign Manager 360.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, markets, and deadlines with precision and organisation.
- High attention to detail and a proactive, problem solving mindset.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts clearly.
- Technically minded with strong Excel skills and comfort working with data.
- Passion for digital activation, ad tech, and operational excellence.
Beneficial:
- Working knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, or APIs.
- Experience with Tag Management Systems (GTM, Tealium, Ensighten, Signal).
- Understanding of programmatic operations (DSPs, SSPs, DMPs).
- Exposure to web analytics, CRO, A/B testing, and site optimisation.
- Awareness of DCO platforms (Flashtalking, Sizmek, Jivox, RevJet).
- Understanding of attribution solutions (GMP, Neustar, Visual IQ, etc.).
- Experience working within regulated industries (pharma experience advantageous).
