Fabric Social is a social-first creative agency. We were born into - and built for - the new era of social. An era where audiences gather around interests, communities and culture, not brands. So we built a different kind of agency. One that brings strategy, trend-first creative, production, community, creators and paid into a single social engine - designed for how social actually works. We turn brands on social into social brands - the ones people choose to follow, talk about and bring into culture. Not the ones interrupting it.

We are hiring a German-speaking Account Director to lead a portfolio of international client relationships at Fabric, with a particular focus on the German market. You’ll work across Subway DE, Sony Europe DE and Ever Clean, bringing German cultural insight and local social expertise to work developed across markets. Fluent German is essential, alongside strong English, as you’ll build relationships with German stakeholders while collaborating closely with Fabric’s UK and NL teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day relationships across Subway DE, Sony Europe DE and Ever Clean, becoming a trusted partner to mid and senior client stakeholders.
  • Bring German market and cultural insight into international work, adapting strategy, creative approaches and learnings so they feel locally relevant.
  • Shape integrated social strategies and campaigns across organic, paid, influencer and creative, connecting the work to wider marketing and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with UK and NL teams, as well as creative, production, paid and strategy specialists, to deliver thoughtful, high-quality work across markets.
  • Own delivery across your accounts, translating briefs into clear budgets, timelines and scopes while managing changes and keeping projects on track.
  • Take responsibility for the commercial health of your portfolio, managing budgets and scopes while identifying opportunities to grow client relationships and services.
  • Build relationships face-to-face as well as remotely, including regular travel to Berlin, typically monthly, for client workshops, reviews and relationship-building.

Skills we're looking for:

  • Strong client-services experience gained within a social, creative or integrated agency environment.
  • Fluent German and strong English, written and verbal, enabling you to work effectively with clients and international teams.
  • Strong knowledge of the German market, including cultural nuances, social platform behaviours, consumer trends and the competitive landscape.
  • The ability to build effective, consultative relationships with mid and senior client stakeholders and communicate strategic recommendations clearly.
  • A strategic understanding of social, paid media and influencer marketing, and how these disciplines contribute to the wider communications picture.
  • Commercial awareness, including experience working with budgets, scopes of work and project profitability.
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to take ownership, support colleagues and maintain quality across multiple accounts.

Fabric Social offers a wide range of benefits to support our employees. Full details are shared when you join, but highlights include core benefits such as Pension, Life Assurance, and Private Medical cover, alongside enhanced policies like Reflection Days and Shared Parental Leave.
