Freelance Account Directors β Creative / Shopper / FMCG
Mars United Commerce (part of Publicis Groupe) is looking to connect with experienced freelance Account Directors who can support client projects across the UK and European markets.
We are a global commerce marketing practice working with leading FMCG brands, where creativity, technology and shopper behaviour come together to drive commercial performance.
The Opportunity:
As a freelance Account Director, you'll lead client relationships and end-to-end project delivery within a creative agency environment. This includes shaping briefs, partnering with strategy and creative teams, presenting work to clients, and ensuring production and execution land smoothly across channels.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Lead day-to-day client relationships and account delivery
β’ Write inspiring creative briefs and support creative development
β’ Present strategic and creative recommendations to clients
β’ Oversee project scope, budgets, timelines and forecasting
β’ Collaborate with internal teams and partner agencies
β’ Identify opportunities to deepen and grow client business
We'd like to connect if you have:
β’ Experience in BTL, Shopper Marketing or Commerce-led creative environments
β’ FMCG brand experience (advantageous)
β’ Ability to work autonomously and motivate teams
β’ Confidence presenting work and guiding client decision-making
β’ Strong organisational and commercial awareness
β’ Comfort working at pace and managing multiple projects simultaneously
β’ Hands-on approach with a solutions mindset

Engagement:
Project-based with ongoing requirements. Hybrid London working preferred; UK-based freelancers welcome.
