The Role

We are seeking a senior commerce analytics leader with deep digital shelf expertise to shape how data is used to drive content, availability and execution performance across retailer ecommerce environments. The successful candidate will bring hands‑on experience using digital shelf analytics to influence commercial decisions, shape content strategies, and guide brands and markets on how to win at the point of purchase.

Responsibilities

  • Digital Shelf & Product Content: Be the digital shelf analytics authority across content quality, availability, search visibility, ratings & reviews and execution. Translate complex shelf signals into prioritised strategic recommendations for content teams, brand teams and markets, not just reports.
  • Commerce Analytics & Measurement: Lead the use of multiple data sources (digital shelf tools, retailer data, media, sales and performance data) to build a holistic view of ecommerce performance and calculate forecasted growth. Use analytics outputs to inform strategic recommendations, investment decisions and roadmap prioritisation. Develop measurement frameworks that connect shelf execution to outcome metrics such as conversion, sales and share.
  • Commerce Client Delivery (for named clients/scopes): Confidently present shelf insights and strategic recommendations at trade‑story and leadership level, clearly articulating the rationale, upside and risks. Explaining not just what is happening, but what to do next. Lead clients from insight to action by selling in recommendations, influencing senior ecommerce, sales and brand stakeholders to align and commit.

Experience & Capabilities

  • Experience leading digital shelf analytics, not just building data models.
  • Proven ability to turn data and insight into clear, commercially persuasive strategic recommendations and influence senior client decision‑makers.
  • Deep understanding of how content, availability, search and execution influence ecommerce performance.
  • Hands‑on experience using digital shelf tools and retailer data to drive action (not purely technical implementation).
  • Ability to connect shelf metrics to commercial impact and prioritise what matters most.
  • Strong commercial judgement and confidence advising senior client stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working with data—but motivated by outcomes, decisions and growth, not engineering solutions.
