Following the retirement of long-standing announcer Eric Williams, a unique opportunity has arisen at Lancaster City for the role of Stadium announcer. The successful applicant will be involved in the delivery of the matchday fan experience at the Giant Axe and sometimes the delivery of other non-matchday events. They will deliver all PA announcements and key information to fans at matches played at the Giant Axe.

Key Responsibilities

  • All PA announcements on matchdays – before, during and after the game, including emergency messages when necessary.
  • Curate playlists for the music played on matchday, ensuring all songs are suitable for all.
  • Through liaising with the Club Secretary and Head of Media and Communications that you have all relevant information before a matchday.

About you

  • Organised, proactive and able to work under pressure.
  • A strong understanding of football and the matchday environment.
  • Confidence in public speaking.
  • Applicants should be enthusiastic, confident and available to work for all Lancaster City home matchdays (Tuesday evenings & Saturday afternoons).
