About The Role
A Civil Enforcement Officer (CEO) will be part of a dedicated team managing the Council's car parks. You will provide help and support to drivers and the local community, contributing to making the local area a great place to work and live.
You will need to be a good communicator as you will be speaking with different stakeholders within the community to provide practical solutions for the benefit of the local community. This includes:
- Regulating parking spaces by advising drivers where to park.
- Patrolling parking bays reserved for specific users such as those with a blue badge.
- Ensuring a turnover of vehicles in limited waiting parking spaces to give others the opportunity to park.
- Acting as an ambassador for the area by advising visitors and residents on attractions and amenities.
- Issuing penalty charge notices as and when necessary.
- Gathering evidence with a handheld computer, taking written notes and photographs when issuing notices to vehicles contravening the parking regulations.
