The role of Regulatory Support Officer provides valuable exposure to a wide range of regulatory activities and the chance to work alongside experienced professionals in a supportive environment. In the role of Regulatory Support Officer, you will: Respond to service requests relating to food safety, health and safety, and Public Health Undertake food sampling activities in line with statutory requirements and local priorities Assist with and carry out enforcement interventions, such as inspections, revisits and advisory visits The ideal candidate may have worked in catering, food service, hospitality, or another role where food safety and health standards are important. Most importantly, you will be a good communicator with a genuine interest in food safety, public health or environmental health. If you have an interest and passion in environmental health, food safety or regulatory compliance we would love to hear from you. During your induction you will spend most of your time in the office after which you will be able to work from home some of the time. It is likely that during an average week you will need to be in the office twice and the rest of your time would be on the district or at home. You will need Good written and verbal communication skills Knowledge and experience of Food and health and safety legislation and guidance Self-motivated Ability to interpret legislation and guidance into practical procedures.
