Coleford, Forest of Dean. Join Forest of Dean District Council and play a key role in protecting one of the UK’s most distinctive landscapes. Working within our Development Management team, you’ll investigate and manage a wide range of planning enforcement matters — helping to safeguard the Forest of Dean’s historic woodlands, market towns, regeneration projects and local communities from inappropriate development. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong investigative, negotiation and customer engagement skills who enjoys varied work, autonomy, and making a genuine impact.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing enforcement cases from investigation to resolution
- Conducting site visits and inspections
- Preparing reports and case notes
- Negotiating outcomes with stakeholders

We’re looking for someone with:
